Description
Let‘s show some love to our hearts by eating with intention. Celebrating Heart Health Month and Black History Month, Plant Powered Metro New York and the A. Philip Randolph Center are teaming up to present a tempting demo and tasting featuring plant foods for cardiovascular healing. Chef Rebecca Johnson, PPMNY Partnerships Manager, will whip up red foods that nourish — a hibiscus drink, bruschetta hearts, and red velvet energy bites — while Lianna Levine Reisner, PPMNY Network Director, shares nutrition guidance that can prevent, treat, and reverse heart disease, high blood pressure, and stroke. Then, we’ll get up and move with personal trainer Lature Van Duren to get your heart pumping, and share take-home recipes. What’s not to love?
This event is intended for people ages 60+.
