This Juneteenth, join Plant Powered Metro New York as we commemorate the emancipation of enslaved people with a dinner social at the Ethiopian restaurant Tsion Cafe in Sugar Hill, featuring a talk by Claudine Smith, MD. We’ll honor and reflect on what “Freedom Day” means to the African Diaspora while dining over a flavorful buffet of plant-based Ethiopian dishes. Attendees will be treated to a variety of traditional African recipes, including:
